The original Prototype, Bob Campbell, was permanently disfigured in an exhibition with Prototype 2000. He lost his arm in the battle. Ultra Tech, the company that created the Prototype power suit as well as Prototype 2000, fired Bob Campbell and went on to make a stronger Prototype armor. A new person is hired to control the new Prototype, Jimmy Ruiz. Ultra Tech unveils the new armor in an exhibition for the company shareholders when an ultra named Glare begins causing a rampage in the streets, searching for the president of Ultra Tech: Stanley Leland. Mr. Leland sends Prototype to fight Glare, mostly for the publicity, and the two fight. The battle is fierce and fast paced and it seems Prototype accidentally killed Glare in the heat of the moment.
