    Patrick Trettel took up the identity of the previous Polestar and used his magnetic manipulation abilities to battle the original Thunderbolts as a mercenary.

      Tettel fought Joystick when battling the Thunderbolts, but lost.  He has not been seen since, but it does not appear he was killed.  
     

    Powers

    Like the previous Polestar, he used gauntlets to have limited magnetic manipulation, including levitation metal objects, limited force field, and flight.  However this does not work when a magnetic field is surrounded by an electrical current, as he could not control Joystick's gauntlets.
