    Origin

Like the other Children of the Vault, Perro (Spanish, meaning 'dog' or 'hound') is not a Homo superior (mutant) or Homo sapiens sapiens (regular human being) but the member of a completely different human species that has evolved biologically, culturally, and technologically over the course of six thousand years. His people's advanced technology allows him to have superhuman abilities in the form of a special suit he wears; once the battery runs out, however, he'll be powerless.

He was one of the first to emerge from the Conquistador, encountering the mutant Sabretooth, whom he went on to severely injure with just one punch. He was also one of the few Children of the Vault alongside Serafina to survive the initial and brutal encounters with the X-Men. Later on he was given the honor of executing the X-Man Rogue, however that bore no fruition as she absorbed his power to use against him, sending him flying with a super powered punch.

    Creation

Perro was created by Mike Carey and Chris Bachalo and first appeared in X-Men Vol 2 #189 (2006) alongside the rest of her team the Children of the Vault.

    Powers and Abilities

He possesses supernatural strength, durability, and can control gravity. Sabretooth claims Perro hit him harder than he had ever been hit in his life, and the injury caused by that punch, broke his neck, jaw and shoulder. Although he's the team's strongarm, he has been seen to be highly intelligent and as well as be able to articulate himself quite well. He is also fluent in both English and Spanish.
