    Marcus Driver was the last detective to be recruited to Gotham City's major crime unit by James Gordon before he retired as commissioner.

    In the line of duty

    While investigating leads on a kidnapping case, Marcus and his partner, Charlie Fields, enter an apartment that ends up being the temporary hideout of Mr. Freeze.

    In the confrontation Driver's hands are frozen to his gun and Fields is frozen solid, killing him.

    His second partner was Josie MacDonald. She possessed minor psychic abilities, but kept them hidden from Driver for quite some time.
