No recent wiki edits to this page.

Marc Henniquiau was born in 1958. Known professionally as "Kio" from 1985 to 1990, he started out by illustrating short historical tales written by Yves Duval for Le Journal De Tintin. He met Jacques Martin in the early nineties and became his assistant, before eventually helping out Rafael Morales when he was promoted to principal illustrator of Les Aventures D'Alix. He died on December 12th, 2010, at 52 years old, eleven months after his mentor Jacques Martin, while working on a second Pompeii album for the Les Voyages D'Alix series. It was never published but the first album was reedited to include the new material he had completed. He had also hoped to resurrect Martin's Orion series by completing an unfinished story called Roi des Rois ("King of Kings"). The series was eventually taken over by Marc Jailloux in 2011 with a new story.
