Proper Japanese Title: マンガ・エロティクス・エフ
Manga Erotics F was a long-running manga anthology and the major manga-related work of its publisher, Ohta Shuppan. Its name comes from two short-lived anthologies by the publisher (Manga Erotics and Manga F) that were essentially merged to become Manga Erotics F in 2001. Initially a monthly, after a year it reduced its publishing rate to bimonthly and continued that rate until its end.
The anthology was supervised by the already-accomplished mangaka Naoki Yamamoto (who was also regularly published in the series) and featured a wide-mix of authors from various adult-oriented manga markets including seijin, BL, seinen and josei. Although the works published here were rarely among their most prominent and instead shorter works, many of the authors who received the covers were well-known talents from other magazines and included Hiroaki Samura, Usamaru Furuya, Shimura Takako, Natsume Ono, Peko Watanabe, Inio Asano and Jiro Matsumoto. After Erotics F ended in 2014, most of the publisher's future manga publishing moved to digital platforms.
