In order to save two universes, the young hero known as Access was forced to use the power of Amalgam (see Marvel versus DC (1996) #3). In this issue, the Master of Quack-Fu, Howard the Duck, and the Main Man, Lobo, are merged to create Lobo the Duck. The world is in ruins and all of Earth's heroes are dead and gone. In this post-apocalyptic landscape only the creature known as Lobo the Duck can thrive.
