The first Lightningbolt was a second generation Spaceknight. This generation was contacting genocide on the human population of Galador. Lightningbolt threw lightning-shaped energy bolts at his targets. In "Rom" #73, he was the first Spaceknight to come across Brandy Clark when she arrived on the planet. He attacked her but she elduded his attacks until finding a Horn of Heaven, a sonic weapon used by the Angel Elite Guards of Galador. Brandy used the weapon on him and stunned him. Before having time to recover, Lightningbolt was slain by a group of surviving humans.
The second Lightningbolt was Rand, a third generation Spaceknight. He was the lover of Starshine/Anarra, their leader. He was killed in conflict with the Wraithknights.
