The tabloids dubbed her 'Lady Mechanika', the sole survivor of a psychotic serial killer's three-year rampage through London. Found locked in an abandoned laboratory amidst countless corpses and body parts, with her own limbs amputated and replaced with mechanical components, her life began anew. With no memory of her captivity or her former life, Lady Mechanika eventually built a new life for herself as a private detective, using her unique abilities to solve cases the police couldn't or wouldn't handle. But, she has never stopped searching for answers... Now, brought into a case unlike any before, Lady Mechanika will have to rely on her advantage in all things occult and paranormal in order to solve the case and possibly unlock the secrets to her past!

    Note: I did not read issue #0.Story: We are introduced to a world obsessed with mechanical engineering. More specifically, mechanically engineering humans. The reader is also introduced to Lady Mechanika who tries to solve a new problem while we figure out parts of her past along the way. The good: Right away the cover art drew me in to this issue. I'm not sure what it why, but this may be my favorite cover art of the year so far. There's nothing flashy and it is quite detailed and classy. In fa...

    I don't usually stray outside my DC bubble but I love steampunk enough that the cover of issue 0 attracted me and lead me to this.  The Good: The art! It is beautiful it really captures the feel of the story and the detail is amazing. lady Mechanika herself is also a facinating character that I cannot wait to learn more about her personality and her forgotten background.
