Story 1: While visiting with the baboons above Wizard’s Gorge, Korak spots a man on a moped who has gone off the track. He gives him correct directions to the “Good Physician Hospital,” where Bell hopes to meet his fiance, the doctor’s daughter. Right after, a bull buffalo gores Bell moped and injures his hip, so Korak “bulldogs” the beast and then carries Bell the ten miles to the hospital. While there, Korak notices that the infamous witchdoctor, Nyanga, is pretending to be sick in a bed in order to spy on the doctor’s secrets. Korak kicks him out and then decides to remain for a couple of days. That night he sees Beth take a case full of medicine into the jungle. Korak tracks her back to Wizard’s Gorge, but scales the cliffs rather than risk the guarded entrance. With the help of the baboons, he descends into the gorge by another way and watches as Nyanga “cures” some natives with the secret help of Beth and her drugs. Korak ropes Nyanga and pulls him up to the ledge, where he threatens to give him to the enraged baboons if he does not surrender Beth. Korak finds her. As Nyanga then leads the pair along the narrow trail out of the gorge, a trap is sprung and a starved panther is released upon them. But Korak puts Nyanga in the way and the cat takes him off over the cliff.

Story 2: While fishing in a mountain lake in Pal-Ul-Don, Korak meets a caveman named Wolg. They observe a battle between a mammoth and two leopards, as the beasts slide down the snow into the river. The mammoth attempts to swim downstream, but Korak vaults onto its back to help it steer through the rapids. Finally they emerge and the mammoth carries Korak over the hills to its herd. Korak spots a fire, and finds that it is the dwelling of Wolg and his mate. As they dine, two more leopards leap upon them and Korak and Wolg must slay the cats in hand to hand combat. The mammoth hears the battle and comes to help Korak, who prevents Wolg from spearing it. Wolg and his mate are greatly impressed as Korak rides off on the great brute.

    Korak GK4 0

Russ Manning's artwork is outstanding. In addition to providing his usual fan service by being a walking shirtless scene, Korak becomes a dude in distress in one of the stories. In the first story, while following a nurse who is stealing medical supplies at night, Korak is ambushed by a witchdoctor. The witchdoctor strikes the unsuspecting jungle boy on the back of his head with his staff. He wakes up soon afterwards to continue his pursuit. In both stories, Korak comes across as a handsome boy ...
