An American novelist who has written eighteen novels as of March 1, 2011. One of which has been adapted into a feature film (My Sister's Keeper) and three others have been adapted into Lifetime Original Movies.
In May of 2007, Jodi Picoult made the transition into comic books when she accepted the offer to write a five issue story arc for the character of Wonder Woman. Picoult claims to be a longtime fan of the character and when she was offered the job, her immediate response was that she didn't have the time. However, both her and her kids felt it was too good an opportunity to pass up. She wanted to be a writer who made the transition from fiction to comics such as Brad Meltzer had done before her. She also wanted to be only the second woman in history to write Wonder Woman's character.
