    History

    The Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV, known as the Jedi Academy by most, served as the primary headquarters for Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order for years. Many students, including Luke's niece and nephews Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin Solo, learned at the Academy.

    In the years that followed, the headquarters of the New Jedi Order moved to Coruscant, but the Praxeum remained the primary training facility. There, masters Tionne and Kam Solusar continued to train young Jedi, including Tahiri Veila.

    Destruction

    In 25 ABY, a new threat was on the horizon: the Yuuzhan Vong. The Vong, with their allies the Peace Brigade, invaded Yavin IV, forcing the teachers and students to retreat into the jungles, with the help of Anakin Solo, who returned in their time of need. Unfortunately, his long-time friend Tahiri was captured by the Vong, forced to endure torturous experiments to discover the "secret" of a Jedi's power. Anakin later saved Tahiri, leaving with the teachers and students. The fourth moon of Yavin remained in Vong control, including the Praxeum.
