Kid oversees a murder, but is unable to stop it from happening (because of Mr. Keepers foolishness)! The murdered is Simon Kane, and the victim his partner in a law firm, Mr. Emory! Kane wants the whole firm for himself.
The murderer stages a young man, Jimmy Conroy, for it. His third partner in the law firm. and Kid has to save the boy. He summons two historical figures, but they can`t help much. The case seems to be airtight.
The trial is had, Daniel Webster has tried to help but has failed and Kid has been kidnapped (and clubbed unconscious) by a bunch of thugs!
He wakes up just in time, sends for a legendary figure to beat up the hoodlums guarding him, and goes back to the courthouse.
How can he save Conroy? Easy. He simply summons the now dead Mr. Emory to testify of his own murder! Case solved.
