    Spinning out of the events of DARK NIGHTS: METAL, Carter Hall returns to the DC Universe! An explorer of the ancient and unknown, Hawkman finds himself embroiled in a long-standing mission to discover the true purpose of his many reincarnations. Carter races around the globe trying to piece together an ancient prophecy, but will he be able to face down his past lives lurking around every corner?

    Hawkman is a challenging character. Prince of Egypt. Golden-Age Mystery Man. Silver Age Sci-Fi Super-Hero. Western gunslinger. All of this has added up to a complicated, convoluted and fractured Modern Age identity. Zero Hour produced an infinite number of Hawkmen as it did Supermen and Batmen. Hawkman's identity has not gotten any easier since.The challenge here for Robert Venditti and Bryan Hitch is to make Hawkman readable.Hawkman 1 isn't so much a Hawkman: Rebirth as it is Hawkman: Re-incarn...
