Kris is plagued by nightmares about the fate of the baby she gave up during the Unity conflict. So preoccupied is she by the loss of the child, that the others are beginning to fear for her mental health. At last, Pete secretly enters Kris' sleeping mind to give her recurring nightmares a happier ending. Realizing that she must let the child go to pursue his destiny as Magnus, Kris finally is able to get on with the rest of her life.
