Dead citizens of Limbo Town who were dragged from their graves and forced to work in the mines

    Short summary describing this team.

    Origin

Grundymen were created by necromantic magic; they are reanimated corpses of dead residents of Limbo Town who have been forced to work by hex-signs. It is unclear who initially created the idea of grundymen or how it was discovered that they could be created and compelled. Within the 400 years that the inhabitants of Limbo Town resided underground, the grundymen became central to the economic life of the community.

    Creation

The grundymen were created by Grant Morrison and Frazer Irving. They made their first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Klarion #1. They are closely based on Solomon Grundy.

    Major Story Arcs

    Seven Soldiers of Victory

Grundymen are employed by the denizens of Limbo Town to generate the stone harvest and transport it to High Market. Most of them are left alive following the Horigal attack. During Melmoth's invasion of Limbo Town, the grundymen are called by the women of Limbo Town to attack his soldiers. Though they successfully kill a few, they are eventually gunned down.

    Powers and Abilities

Grundymen are undead, and thus resistant to pain and injury, though they can be destroyed, and eventually simply wear away from the labours they perform. They are also superhumanly strong.
