Grimm Fairy Tales presents...Godfather Death. What if you were given the power to choose who lives and who dies? That is the gift that Death bestows upon his god son in this classic fairy tale...a gift that carries with it dire consequences for those who don't go along with Death's plans.
Against the modern backdrop of a boy that has lost his father, an older story is told involving another boy that has lost his family. He has lost his family and believes himself to be cursed, but a godfather from faraway informs him he will grant him a ring giving him the power to either let people live or die. he must use this ring as the godfather dictates though. He goes on to become a successful physician, but turns against the godfather, first to save a king, and then to save the princess after they have fallen in love. Going back to confront the godfather he is killed, and then he explains to Fenton that the ring has no power, rather that the boy was High Borne. In the modern day Fenton offers the same ring to the boy.
