    The Green Lantern Takes Desperate Measures in The Blackest Night 0

    The Blackest Night continues to shock and terrify the DC universe in this intense 50th issue of Geoff John's Green Lantern.  The book picks up in the battle-ravaged Coast City as our team of Lanterns, deputy Lanterns, guardians, and other allies, heroes and villains alike, fight for survival against the growing forces of the Black Lantern Corp.  Their biggest problem is the possessed Spectre who is battling most of the team single-handedly.  Hal Jordan knows they're running out of time and he ne...

    So with this anniversary issue we see Hal Jordan's response to Ganthet bringing in "honorary" inductees into all the Corps.  Throughout the issue we see the various interactions between these honorary members and the Corps respected leaders.  Most are welcome by their leaders.  One isn't.  I'll give you one guess on who doesn't want to share their power.   Moving on, the Spectre makes his grand appearance and seems to almost be beaten the same way most of the other Black Lanterns have been.  Alm...

    SPOILER WARNING! First off, I can't believe that this is Jim Lee's artwork.  After seeing him work his magic in Batman: Hush and All-Star Batman and Robin, I find it hard to believe that he did this.  Not saying that this isn't good, it is.  It's just I've seen him do better.  Anyway, moving along.  First off, I just want to say that I love the idea of the Deputy Lanterns.  So much, in fact, that I really think that Barry Allen should remain a Blue Lantern and Scarecrow a Sinestro Corps Officer....
