    Years ago, Sinestro used his Green Lantern ring to utterly dominate his home planet of Korugar, all in the name of “protecting” his people. It’s the mistake that turned his name into a curse, and brought down the greatest Green Lantern of them all…but one never-before-seen moment from those dark days holds the key to his future!

    Note: The second cover is the lenticular/ 3-D cover- you can note some blur around Hal Jordan's head, like a fuzzy after-image. This is part of that effect. Wiggling the cover back-and-forth produces the effect, making certain elements of the cover appear to move.

    Oh man. This issue was such a let-down.Geoff Johns already wrote a revised Sinestro origins story because Sinestro's character has changed so much over the past seven years, the original silver age story was pretty out of date for the New 52 interpretation. And because Johns has arguably made the Green Lantern franchise the most popular it's ever been through his expansion of GL mythology, I don't understand why Matt Kindt felt the need to backtrack with this character.
