Part Three: Cataclysm last edited by pikahyper on 04/20/21 04:11AM View full history

FLASH FACT: The secrets behind Queen Hippolyta's death and the start of the world war are revealed.

In the final issue of FLASHPOINT: WONDER WOMAN AND THE FURIES, the origins of the scheming plans behind the war of the Amazons and the Atlanteans are revealed. When Diana learns how she has been betrayed, it’ll be up to her to convince Aquaman to retreat his troops and stop the looming war. But if all goes according to Orm and Penthesilea’s plans, Arthur will be too blinded by his need for revenge to listen. Could this war signal the joining of the two empires, led by two power-hungry and manipulative traitors?

Flashpoint: Wonder Woman and the Furies #3 of 3. The title explains my cynical and sarcastic opinion of this comic. This issue just sucked! But I'll get more into detail about why it "sucked" later in this review. So this is the big conclusion of wonder woman and the furies! Yeah some big conclusion? Terra raises some earth for the amazons, Orm and Penthesilea were traitors on both sides, and Diana goes to fight Arthur but we only see on page of that. Some fight of the century?   The GOOD! I do ...

This issue details the final events of the war between the Atlanteans and the Amazons.  For some time forces behind the scenes have been working to first unite the two nations and then force them against one another.  Most of what occurs is the admission of the guilty parties of the transgressions they have made.  The rest of this issue is consumed by battle sequences all of which are not entirely engaging.  By now this war has become almost a non-event as it has taken too long to build to a cli...

Flashpoint: Wonder Woman And the Furies #1-3 0

Something happened to the timestream and the superheroes of the known universe are no longer the same! This applies to heroic icon, Wonder Woman, more than anyone who now leads an army of women warriors against former allies in a war that threatens to engulf the entire planet. What started out as an almost fresh and vogue take on the Amazing Amazon quickly fell apart in this mini-series middle and final chapters.   The young Princess Diana of the Amazons seemed a confident, compassio...
