    Short summary describing this character.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

Elyse Nelson was a successful model who felt insecure about her looks. Her self-esteem issues would build up until, armed with a straight razor, she went into psychotic rages killing models whom she felt were prettier than her.

Harvey Finklestein, an unemployed actor, was obsessed with Elyse. He devised a scheme in which he hired a man named Leslie to pretend to be the Slasher. He would attack Elyse and Harvey would be able to rescue her. The plan seemed to go awry when it appeared that Leslie really was the Slasher because he had clippings of all the Slasher slayings. He also was a bit overzealous in his attack on Elyse, but she was able to get away from him.

Dakota North and Spider-Man, with Mary-Jane Watson in tow, were investigating the slayings and followed after Leslie. North knew he wasn't the Slasher but hoped he had a connection to the real killer and would lead them to the real Slasher. However, Mary-Jane was left behind with Elyse who, jealous of her good looks, brandished her straight razor and attempted to kill her. Spider-Man and Dakota North returned in time to save Mary-Jane and end Elyse's killing spree.
