The Villains
"The Black Snake", the former Gliders ruler after Lord Voll, Winnowill has developed morphic-capability. She grew a "fifth finger" and bethrothed herself to the most powerful of humans, the Warlord Grohmul Djun, and calling herselv "VENOVEL". Her Child, the Half-Troll Half-Elf Two-Edge built the citadel Palace for the human ruler, and speaks to her by "sending" through the walls of his masterpiece.
Assassins come for VenoVel and stab her through the heart, but her morphic- closes the knife in her chest, while she spins and delivers a death-blow to the culprit whil the other assassin runs away.
It is shown that with VenoVel as advisor, the Grohmul Djun has become pure evil. He and she watch as servants have dug graces in the underground of the Citadel tower, who are murdered using insanely crafty gadgets, and suddenly sealed in without reprieve.
Two-Edge aids Humans
The Djun's master builder is Two-Edge. VenoVel convinces the Djun to ask for trickier and trickier things and more beautiful corridors. Meanwhile a force found the Palace of The High-Ones washed to shore in SHARDs form, and this is delivered into the custody of Two-Edge.
Two-Edge also has built an underground tunnel-system under the city so he can sneak around.
He built tanks that have razors and cut down trees. It has a bizarre steam-power that uses a blazing central wood-fire to heat water that spin its tank-treads. Such a montrous device is employed by the Djun's warriors to cut a clear-path through the forces.
