    Origin

    A son of Limbo Town, Ebeneezer Badde fled his home there on his initiation into the Brotherhood of Witch-men, choosing to live in the subway tunnels below New York City. It is unclear if he is actually Mordecai Bleak and took another name upon leaving Limbo Town, or simply had an affair with Charity Bleak, but he is implicitly the father of Klarion.

    Creation

    Ebeneezer was created by Grant Morrison and Frazer Irving. He made his first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Klarion #2

    Major Story Arcs

    Seven Soldiers of Victory

    Ebeneezer encounters the young Klarion, fleeing Limbo Town and pursued by the monstrous Horigal. He rescues the boy and leads him through the tunnels towards the surface. He takes Klarion to Croatoan and reveals the truth, that there is no witch-god. He attempts to sell Klarion on to some child-snatchers working for Melmoth, but regrets it and tries to save him. Regardless, Klarion feeds him to the child-monster Leviathan.

    Powers and Abilities

    Ebeneezer is a witch-man, capable of wielding magic to a variety of effects, including energy projection and necromancy. He possesses an innate psychic bond with his familiar, the alligator Fear-Naught, and is able to see through its eyes. He is a competent marksman

    Badde possesses what appears to be a flintlock pistol.
