Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson go to a wrestling match starring the Hooded Hangman. Later, Batman sees the Hooded Hangman leaving the scene of a burglary, though he claims innocence.

The back up story features the Elongated Man as he helps Zatanna in her quest to find her father Zatara. Setting her sight s on a magical tripod which is for sale in a knick-knack shop, the maid of magic is disappointed to find said object is stolen. Undaunted, she magically causes the thieves to return to the shop in question. The Elongated Man then discovers "The Tantalising trouble of the Tripod thieves."
Ralph Dibny caught the same robbers as they committed another crime. However, before he could take them to the police, they floated off. Unable to stop them, Elongated Man followed their trail to the shop where they had stolen the tripod. There, Ralph returned the tripod to Zatanna and the two heroes overcame the robbers in question. Ralph returned to Sue and Zatanna returned to her search.
