    This series is reprinting and recoloring some of the original Classics Illustrated from 1941-1971 by Gilberton Publications. The numbering does not match though. For instance, the original #1 features The Three Musketeers while Acclaim's #1 features Tom Sawyer (#50 of the original volume).

    This volumes was published in digest size format, and new commentary and notes.
