    Origin

Bryan Fury was a corrupt police official, an agent of Interpol who was shot and killed on the streets of Hong Kong. A rival of his, Lei Wulong, also fellow fighter and a detective of Hong Kong, investigated his case without too much success. A doctor by the name of Abel reanimated Bryan, Bryan now being reborn half man and half cyborg, and trained and to be to used to kill the Doctor Boskonovitch, a rival of Doctor Abel. However Dr.Abel became a scientific adviser of Mishima Zaibatsu, and Bryan then turned despised Mishima Zaibatsu for taking Abel far from him, and the same Abel, for leaving him. After competing in the tournament, Bryan faced Dr. Abel without success, falling down Bryan unconscious.

Dr. Abel installing in him a cell of energy of a time much more limited of normal (a trap in the manufacture of the cybernetic body of Bryan, like safety measure for Doctor Abel) and Bryan's body was dying. It is said that Yoshimitsu (the boss of the clan Manji and a ninja who helps Dr.Boskonovitch) or Julia Chang (this it's not absolutely clear) rescued him and they took to the Doctor Boskonovitch who saved him, in exchange for saving him and giving to Bryan a cybernetic new body with a cell of eternal energy,Bryan would allow him to investigate his body for one year. But the fifth iron fist tournament was announced too soon and Bryan somehow knew it and woke up of the lethargy to which the Doctor B. submitted to be able to experiment with him (Dr.B didn't finish to study him yet),in " gratitude " (and already with an improved body although not complete but with the cell of eternal energy built-in), Bryan destroyed the laboratory of the Dr.B and killed several members of the Clan Manji who tried to stop him (obtaining new enemies for these acts). Bryan took part in a latter tournament to prove his new body and fight vs Yoshimitsu.
