    Short summary describing this volume.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

After the rapture, the world is full of demons and mankind's only hope is Battle Pope, a hard-drinking and womanizing Pope who isn't even at best terms with God. With the help of Jesus H. Christ he starts to fight evil and find a way to save Saint Michael and the world.

Battle Pope is a book full of irony and sarcasm with a pinch of blasphemy hence not taking things too seriously. It is also the first comic book created and written by Robert Kirkman, with art from Tony Moore, and self-published under the label Funk-O-Tron in 2000. This four-issue mini-series was then followed by a few more mini-series and spin-offs.

All the original Battle Pope comics are black-and-white. Later, Image Comics collected and reprinted the complete series (except for Battle Pope presents Saint Michael) in color; see Battle Pope (2005).
