    One aspect that people seem to forget about batman, despite how many times it appears is that Batman (no matter the title) is a story of family. It started with the loss of family on that one fateful night, and even now we can label characters as being part of the Bat-family. Yet the dynamic between Batman and Robin is developing the family relation, not of the bat-family, but of the Wayne family watching Bruce Wayne, the son of the late Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne becoming Bruce Wayne the Fathe...

    It's interesting to compare the final cover to the solicit. Batman's head was tilted, he was unmasked, and the cape had more details on his shoulders. His face looked a little off on the original version, but I think I liked the concept better; it certainly fit with the theme better. In the end, both versions work, and I'm not sure which one I like better.I take it back actually. I like the idea of Batman tenderly carrying Damian from the scene of the finale of the previous issue; but there's so...

    Batman and Robin #8Batman and Damian have some deep discussion that you don’t get to see often.The Good:Bruce shows a lot of fatherly instinct in this issue. In issue #7 you remember Damian taking quite the beating from Nobody and then killing him; anyone who claims to know their Batman knows that he does not allow murder, ever. It is just crazy to see a serious matter like that take a back seat so that Bruce can get Damian home to see to his injuries.My favorite part of the whole issue, which m...
