    Bandit Keith swears a lot.

In the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, Bandit Keith Howard is known as the American champion. He comes to Duelist Kingdom illegally (he's not an official participant) so he thinks the rules don't apply to him. He is constantly swearing, as many of his word bubbles are filled with swear word symbols. Keith is out for revenge against Pegasus ever since he humiliated Keith in a previous tournament, when Pegasus used his Millennium Eye to read Keith's mind and then called over a kid from the audience to beat him in his place. He hides behind his henchmen, and has Ghost Kozuka (Bonz in the dub) duel Jonouchi (Joey) in the graveyard field for him. Kozuka loses, and Bandit Keith beats him up and takes his star chips. He ends up dueling Jonouchi in the finals, loses, and when he can't accept defeat, he attacks Pegasus. Pegasus, however, uses his Shadow Powers to transform Keith's own hand into a gun, and has him shoot himself.

In the spin-off manga Yu-gi-oh R , Keith is revived by Yako Tenma, adopted son of Pegasus, to help him in his plan to revive his now-decesed father: The R.A. Project.

In the anime, Bandit Keith is known as the "Intercontinental Champion," and much of his violent behavior is edited. He steals Joey's tournament entry card (since he didn't have his own, since he was never officially entered in the tournament), but Joey was given Mai's entry card after her duel with Yugi (which she conceded). Despite his efforts to have Joey disqualified, the two did have their duel and Keith lost. After his duel with Joey, he comes at Pegasus with a gun, but the gun is edited away in the English dub. Instead of having Keith kill himself, Pegasus simply ejects him from the island into the ocean. He is fished out of the sea by Marik, who later uses the Millennium Rod to control his mind, and has him duel Yugi in the second season.

He is not seen in the anime after that.
