At the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, April 26, 1986, during the clean-up after the meltdown, the partial corpses of alien creatures are found. As the Russian troops begin to collect these bodies, several Blue/Black-skinned beings appear and demand the return of their PAGES. The Russian troops, with no idea what these strange beings are asking for, open fire. The beings disappear but are found dead nearby. The Russians set up a special laboratory to study these dead beings, believing that if they can discover the trick to this telepathy, they'll have a hand-up in the world.

    PRESENT DAY:

Dr. Andromeda Weaver, an American scientist employed by the Russians currently in charge of this special lab and her personal guard, Lt. Lucien Barnes, discover a young woman with wings collapsed and near death, holding a strange roll of odd Papers... They take her back to Andy's lab,but when Lucien prepares to report their "find" to their handler, Vladimir Grigorieff, she strikes him in the head with a fire extinguisher, takes the strange winged girl, and flees, leaving the odd Papers behind.
