Aquaman, AJ, and Mera drive the Maritorn off of Oceanid, then AJ pushes his mother through the dimensional gate into Aquaman's world; Aquaman follows.
Aquaman then launches himself into battle with all of the invaders, as A.J. defeats Nemo while Aquaman frees Mera with the three retreating into the ocean being pursued by the invaders. However the Oceanid resistance fighters arrive attacking to give the three an opportunity to escape to an ruin where Mera tells the story of her and A.J.'s fate. Mera then takes Aquaman to the reason for his summoning, the universes Naiad who is dying because of the invaders actions with her increasing Aquaman's power to call to all life on the planet to unify against the invaders.
Aquaman and Mera then lead all the sea life against there invaders while Aquaman empties the ships containers back into the sea. Aquaman then enters into his battle with Nemo as Mera prepares to destroy the ships with the hard water powers,with Aquaman refusing to leave the ship proving something to Mera. The invaders defeated Aquaman prepares to leave for Atlantis asking Mera to return, who is unsure because of her desire to not leave A.J. He however makes up her mind for him, throwing his mother through the portal, with Aquaman leaving too with his son remaining on Oceanid as Aquaman.
