    It's the Man of Steel versus the Scarlet Speedster as Superman takes on the Flash in a race necessary to send Mr. Mxyzptlk back to the fifth dimension.

    Mxyzptlk is on a mission to cause chaos and does so by setting up a race around the world between The Flash <Wally West> and Superman. But this head to head race between these two speedsters is full of tricks and twists, who will come out with the gold and who will be left in the dust...

    Notes:

    • Cover has Dan 'N' Brett ala Carmine 'N' Murphy.
    • Cover is a homage to the cover of Superman #199.
    • First post-Crisis race between Superman and the Flash.
    • Wally mentions that Barry Allen spoke highly of Superman.
    • Next chronological appearance is in Action Comics #650.
