    Undercover work 3

This is a fairly entertaining issue though the cover makes it look super-interesting and really something it is not (not yet anyway).  Lois and Jimmy are in London covering a fashion shoot where Lois complains about the lack of severity in her assignment when there is an ongoing war.   After Atlanteans attack Paris, Lois is rescued by Amazons and taken to London.  Jimmy has disappeared but as Lois finds out through a piece of his technology he was secretly working for Cyborg, who now recruits L...

Is This Lois Lane's Future? 0

There's been some speculation about what Lois Lane's place will be in the post-Flashpoint universe. It's too early to even speculate, but if the first issue of Lois Lane and the Resistance is a glimpse into the character's future, we have a lot to look forward to. This is an entertaining and well-written book that shows Lois to be a strong, resourceful character who can carry a series in the main DC continuity even without superpowers. The story starts with Lois and Jimmy Olsen covering a fashion...

    A Good Setup....can it deliver? 0

There's one major flaw to this book - it's only three issues long.  The world of Flashpoint is actually a pretty awesome world.  Thomas Wayne as Batman, Lois Lane as a War Correspondent.  So it sucks that they're doing the whole thing over three months.  And this book suffers for it.  I gave it four stars because I think it has a lot of potential and is a good startup to this story arc.  The problem is that both the cover and the title lie.  Going into the story, I thought Lois has been assigned...

    Lois undercover 1

Cover When I first saw this cover I was excited to see that Lois was a spy and she seemed like a totally different character. But the cover was very misleading because nothing on the cover actually happened in the series. I was very disappointed with it. Story The world of Flashpoint is having a war between Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Now Lois has to figure out what the amazons are planning to help the government. Best Part I have tried some Flashpoint mini series and most of them I...

Not bad but far from great 0

Ok, based on the title alone "Lois Lane and the Resistance" immediately sparks interest. But after finishing the issue I was left feeling that it was really a mixed bag. Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning write a story that at times feels extremely relevant to the greater Flashpoint storyline. Lois is thrown into the middle of the Atlantean attack that left Paris in ruin. The Amazonians "rescue" her and give her refuge in London, their newly claimed home. There is a lot at play here and the story does ...

Lois Lane behind Amazon lines! 0

Flashpoint: Lois Lane and the Resistance #1 of 3. SO when I first heard about this comic I was very excited to see Lois in such a strong and powerful role that really might mean something in this Flashpoint world. We usually see Lois as a reporter and wife of Superman but when I heard about this I thought she was gonna be this super cool awesome spy/resistance leader. Well we kinda get that in this issue but not really. The issue opens up with Lois doing a fashion show coverage in Paris but as t...

Holy misleading cover art, Batman! 0

I was entertained/saddened/annoyed to find that the cover art had nearly no bearing to anything that happened in the actual comic. That being said, the comic itself wasn't that bad, just a bit...off. I have no idea what's going on in the DCU right now, so some of this was a little confusing (I chalked that up to not having read enough to know much, so I didn't reflect my confusion in the score I gave the issue), but as I recall, isn't Lois Lane supposed to be...I don't know...classy?   NOT A 'cl...
