What If Abin Sur never died?

      Cover

I liked the cover for this issue. The art was pretty good and concept showed pretty much what the whole issue was about.

    Story

Hal Jordan has saved the alien Abin Sur now he has been chosen by the President to fly Abin Sur’s alien ship.

    Best Part

I liked seeing kind of a what if issue as a mini series for flashpoint. Since Abin Sur did not die Hal Jordan instead of being a Green Lantern has become a test pilot for the alien craft.

    Worst Part

When I was trying to write the story part of this review it took me a long time to actually see what happened in the issue because nothing really got accomplished. I feel like they had so many possibilities for this what if issue but they made something with so many possibilities boring. They could of really showed what Hal’s life could have been like if he was never Green Lantern. Then a random dragon in the story is suppose to make everything better but really it was very stupid because they were just trying to put some action in an issue that was going no where.

    Art

The art was okay in this issue but I did not really like how Carol Ferris looked. I know she would look a little different in the Flashpoint universe but I did not really like the short hair.

    Pick it up or not

    Do not pick it up!!

He is flying for Ferris air fields and is dubbed the go to guy by President Obama himself. The amazons decide to attack the air field with their invisible jets that Carol (aka Sapphire) can some how see and shoot down. Then the amazons drop this tiny crate ( that is larger then there jets) that some how turns into a HUGE and I mean HUGE three headed ...

Overall, this book is pointless 0

Many of the Flashpoint tie-in books have been fun, exciting, and add to the scope of the Flashpoint event. Then you have those that are dull, silly, and basically pointless. Without a doubt "Flashpoint Hal Jordan" falls into the second category. Issue #1 offered very little in terms of Flashpoint relevance but had just enough question in it's ending to bait me in for issue #2. But after reading the second book, the story feels even less important and does nothing to make me even care about what...
