    Woah! 2

The penultimate issue of Flashpoint has arrived, and boy is it awesome.  If anyone has complained about the series not having enough action they should definatly read this issue.  So at the end of Flashpoint #3 we saw Barry, Thomas, and Cyborg at the wrong end of a bunch of guard's guns, and in this issue we see the likes of Element Woman resuce them.  I'm not sure how I feel about this new character yet, although I can say she is the happiest hero I've seen in the Flashpoint universe.  As the i...

Not quite as good as the past 3 0

Disclaimer: This is my first time reviewing so bear with me. I'm gonna borrow the sites main system for this one because it works well for organizing my thoughts  What I liked: So far Flashpoint has been my favorite big event in a while. It's been well written, well thought out, and has a great flow to the story.  Reading this it's clear that the Geoff Johns and the other writers working on the Flashpoint Tie-ins could probably start there own continuity just focusing on the history and characte...

What more do you want? 1

This series has definitely been on an accelerated pace.  It's clear that the tie-ins fill in many of the gaps and indeed, as we do with the heroes, we literally drop in the middle of the war between the Amazons and Atlantians.  But I liked that we finally get the showdown between Wonder Woman and Aquaman and truth be told, this has probably been on of the better coordinated series.  It's funny.  The last issue was the rescue of Superman, if they don't have him come back in issue #5, then it was ...

    Dull Before the Storm 0

I'm losing interest in Flashpoint. It isn't the tie-ins, it isn't the art (which isn't my style but it's consistant), I think it's the writing. I usually love Geoff Johns but I don't think Flashpoint is his best work. At issue four of five I think I should be on the edge of my seat but I still feel like I'm in first gear. I think the major problem is that the story focuses on too much of gathering the team up to fight instead of dealing much with the Zoom/Flash conflict (Barry seems to lay out a...

Can't we just continue with the Flashpoint universe? 0

Not as polished as last issue, but a good read 0

Flashpoint has, for the most part, been a cool and fun alternate world event made even more interesting by the fact that it ushers in DC's huge September relaunch. Helped by some genuinely good tie-in series, Flashpoint has taken some interesting looks at popular DC characters while maintaining an overall feeling of importance. In other words, I've enjoyed Flashpoint more than most of the recent comic book events. The main book has consistently gotten better with issue #3 starting to bring thin...

    I want a juicebox now 0

Another fine issue of the 2011 event from Geoff. This issue is handily divided into two sections- a talky part and an action-y part. both are fine, but I prefer the talky part.  The issue opens up right where the previous issue left off- outside Project Superman, with Thomas Bats and Barry attempting to run away from secruity. They are saved by one of the best characters to premier in this series- Element Woman! A naive, socially awkward heroine, she acts quite childish compared to super serious...

    I've seen worse 0

This main flashpoint series has definitely been a bit uneven.  This issue, for example was pretty lame.  There were some good parts where Batman (Thomas) explains the only reason he's willing to help.  And you get what I think is a pretty accurate portrayal of the fact that Shazam is some super weird character in that he's the transformation of a bunch of kids.  They keep hammering home over and over the fact that Flash is losing his memories.  I'm guessing this is the excuse DC has for the thin...

Six Issues Would Probably Have Been Better Than Five 0

Flashpoint closes in on its finale as the Flash pulls together the best Justice League he can get while Wonder Woman and Aquaman's war boils over. It's a solid issue but not the series' strongest. The pace picks up, making it feel almost like we are rushing toward the end somewhat faster than the story feels like it should naturally progress. Perhaps Flashpoint should have been a six issue story.  The S!H!A!Z!A!M! kids, one of Flashpoint's best concepts, gets the spotlight in this issue. As with...

The beginning of the end 1

Cover The cover for this issue was great concept wise and art wise. I really have been liking the cover’s for this series. At first I had no idea how the cover of the issue would end up happening in the issue but by the end you really do understand the concept of the cover with the story. Story The Flash is bringing a team together to fight Wonder Woman and Aquaman. That way the Flash can go back to the universe he knows and loves. Best Part This is really the beginning of the end be...

Flashpoint # 4 of 5. Change is drawing near! Next issue marks the end of the DC universe we know it and I'm sure this has most people on edge! I know it has me nervous! Let's start the review! So the main basis of this issue is, Flash wants more super people to join him and stop Reverse Flash! Flash meets the "different" Metamorpho so SHE joins them. Meanwhile there are 6 kids that make up one Captain Lightning that wanna stop Wonder Woman and this war all together. Flash, Cyborg, and Batman fin...

Flashpoint: Flashpoint really likes annoying me! 0

Despite this being an enjoyable event Flashpoint continues  to kill off my favorite characters I don't know why but they just have everyone of my top 3 heroes have been killed. Plus it didn't help with this one I was spoiled before hand accidentally because I was on the Dc Message Boards and went on to a thread which had absolutley no mention of Flashpoint or that there were SPOILERS at all and the mentioned a certain characters death so here I will mention it when you see *SPOILERS* turn you're...
