    Don't quote me on this (its been awhile since I read it) but she was pretty important in defeating Kang when he took over the world. She also was willing to kill Carnage during Maximum Carnage, but was stopped by Cap.... which prompted Carnage to get away and murder a bunch more people. I am not very familiar with her New Warriors career so I have nothing there. I don't think she's really done really great feats compared to other heroes, but she still ranks as one of my top five heroines.

    Because she holds back.  The common mistake is that her powers are fire-based (naturally, given her codename is Firestar not Microwavestar).  But since she is essentially cooking everything with microwaves she's always frightened of hurting others & the environment.  However, she did manage to let loose in outer space.  She absorbed the cosmic radiation & used it to blast open some sort of space gate (I can't remember the exact details). 
     
    On a more terrestrial scale, she had to let lose & radiate the whole of Manhattan, Central Park & surrounding areas to free people from Asylum's control.  Her microwaves turned out to be an effective way of disabling his control over the tar-like DarkForce.

    @xerox-kitty: Like I said I don't know much of what she did as a New Warrior, I only spook of things that I know she had a hand in. And those are some rather amazing feats, but not compared to some other characters. She has alot of great potential and hopefully Marvel is sees that, she's been one of their most underrated characters that has a rather large fan following. I think the biggest problem she always had was the fact she had to be paired with someone, and that kinda held her down in a way. When they released the Firestar one shot I thought it would be awesome for her to get her own title and finally get the recognition she deserves, but then after looking through it (I am on a tight budget) and seeing it was pretty much a pick up from Marvel Divas I wouldn't buy it. Now I did get a chance to read the first issue of Young Allies, although I hate the name Bastards of Evil, I think this is another way to breath new life into the character. Although I would have much rather seen her come back to being a super hero on one of the Avengers teams, or maybe even be at the Avenger's Academy helping young would be heroes adapt to the life.
     
    Ya although she is portrayed as more of a fire based character then microwave... also wish Marvel understood that microwaves don't give you cancer.

    @Fire Star: rbysjti is shifting the Storm fanboy craziness to Firestar... just joking. I think it would be good for an awesome character like Firestar to have her feats get out to the comic fans at large. She has a pretty popular following yet she is very underrated by Marvel.
