Serafina Arkadina is a young woman from the Russian Federation who was born with various psionic powers. Taking the name Firebird, Serafina joined a number of other super powered Russian teenagers to form the team Soyuz (the Russian version of the Teen Titans). For most of their careers, Soyuz were pursued by the KGB and other Russian intelligence agencies. After their bravery during the alien Invasion, the Russian government relaxed its efforts to trak Soyuz's activities.
Firebird is the leader of
Soyuz, and her uncle Mikhail Arkadin is the Russian hero
Pozhar. Her uncle was once fused with the fire elemental
Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond).
