Worthy of what?

Fear Itself! :) Supposedly the Marvel universe is about to be attacked by a god of fear in next year's main story arc, and only 8 will be deemed worthy... which everyone is guessing worthy to punch the god of fear in the face. or something like that. :) I'm just curious to see who thinks who is "worthy" out there in the current state of things.That's all.

The obvious contenders are Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Spider-Man. From the teasers I would guess both Cyclops and the Hulk may be among them as well. I could see either Storm and/or Black Panther there too, and someone from the FF.

Just guessing but I take it this deals with Phobos and the fallout from Ares's death in Siege?

I'm confused so the God of Fear is going to choose 9 heros? right that can cause the most destruction on the planet

I feel that, this makes the hammer(s) worthless with everyone and their grandmother in possible contention as a Hammer wielder.

I know for a fact daredevil will be one of the 8 because he is "the man without fear."

i know the grey gargoyle will get a hammer, juggernaut, some green guy (looks a bit like the hulk and most probably the thing

Daredevil will be one for sure because he is the man without fear.  It even says so on that thing with the xxxed out names.  There are xxxx xxxxx.    That spells dare devil.

Its like the Sinestro Corps. The worthy will be those who make people scared since the whoever feeds on fear

Aren't there 9 Worthy? so far there is 1.Sin (Red Skull's girl) 2.The Hulk, 3.Thing, 4.Titania (random) 5.Absorbing Man (history with Asgard), 6.Attuma (random), 7. Juggernaut 8. Grey Gargoyle (also random). But I'm pretty sure I read or saw there are actually 9 hammers.
