    Brunhilde is a fantastic character

Fear Itself was a terrible, nothing but common and boring event, endlessly spawning from title to title, so imagine my surprise (or even bravery or lack of good sense) when I decided to adventure myself in this 12 issue after shock title that is The Fearless, even bigger the surprise the fact that I enjoyed reading it! The fact that this story, put together by Cullen Bunn (Marvel's new favorite son, after Nick Spencer), Chris Yost and Matt Fraction, with better than average and high quality art by Paull Pelletier and Mark Bagley (also the most beautiful covers from Art Adams), is superior in infinite ways that the main title Fear Itself that originated it, is just for this feat, worth of praise. A brief review: Skadi and the Serpent are defeated, but Sin isn't quitting so easy, she has a plan: recover all the 8 hammers and destroy Earth once and of all, but to do that she must defeat Valkyrie, who also has a mission involving the hammers. Add some Avengers, some mystic guys, romance, betrayals, and you have it all. But the best about this limited series is Valkyrie, a character that I was never a big fan, but I really liked readying a title in which she's the main character: there's purpose in her and the writers nailed this! I don't recommend this unless you're up to discover new faces of an unknown (or even not so popular) character, because for the plot or dialogues itself, this isn't excellent material. If you are looking for a few surprises regarding character development, this book has quite a few (including some events that I'm not sure if they'll stick, since not well explained, like the ones involving Daimon Hellstorm)
