Tidal Waves
As a tie (or at least what you expect from this kind of project) in this mini series was ok, especially in comparison with the tragedy that were Fear Itself X-Force and Wolverine, unfortunatelly Cullen Bunn prefered to make a very standard and basic story, failing to deliver a great reunion amongst the Defenders (or at least the avatars of the originals), leaving only expectations towards Fraction/Dodson new ongoing series - like I said the story was very unoriginal, in which the heroes Namor, Loa, Silver Surfer and Savage She-Hulk are summoned and gathered by Strange in order to atend the threat of Attuma, one of the Serpent's Chosen - why the plot was so plain? Because the writer never ventured or took chances, only following the formula "heroes get together to defeat villains, take a beating, start to doubt themselves, only to win the day in the end" - add to that the fact that the dialogues aren't as sharp or interesting as they've could've been, except for some lines here and there, and only the art of Lee Garbett stands straight to save this comic book, but this feat can't stand alone the tidal waves of furious fans and readers, so, if I were you, I would totally avoid this and stick only to the main series of Fear Itself (that, let's face it, was another bad big event from Marvel)
