Who cares Steve has a movie coming out the 22nd.
Review of Fear Itself #4 of 7.
The Story
: People are kinda sad about Bucky being maybe dead. Thor is back on Earth, goes to Steve and Tony in order to fight Sin and stuff. Steve kinda but not really wonders about being Captain America and becomes him. And then some kid in Canada gets scared from dead fish in a river and The Serpent gets a power up.The Good:
The scene with going to Odin and drinking as a sacrifice is kinda powerful, since it's named "Démon dans une bouteille" but it kinda isn't because im not reading Invincible Iron Man and he's going to rebuild Asgard back in his series. Yeah we totally don't need to read the tie-in's Matt Fraction. Really Immonen is the only thing consistent in these four issues and really Fraction gives him a lot of stuff to draw and strech his drawing muscles. The Bad
: As you can tell by my summary of the issue I don't really care about whats happening in this issue and the characters don't seem to have any emotion either. Steve looks at the mask in full costume and I think he's wondering about what to do, but he's already in costume so what ? We also get Fraction trying to compare the Serpent with Odin but it fails because we know jacksh*t about The Serpent's past, wich is information we should have gotten in the one-shot or in the first issue, OR AN EVEN BETTER IDEA WHY DON'T WE HAVE LONGER ISSUE'S SINCE THIS IS AN EVENT ? Also nobody showing emotion for Bucky's death except for Natasha is dumb all around, she doesn't seem like the type to cry openly, she would mourn but silently, hell nobody mourns a little over this.THe Verdict: This event is just to big for 22 pages because there is to much stuff that Fraction isn't telling us and expects us to wait patiently for him to tell us and then we should be all happy with it. At least the art kicks ass. Skip it.
