    Fraction? Really?

I'm gonna say it, Matt Fraction is impressing me. I am not a big fan of Mr. Fraction, not in the least, but I feel that he has really started something here if he keeps it up. Not only has the buildup to the departure of the Fantastic Four been entertaining but he has a grasp on some of the characters like we haven't seen in quite some time. He still has big shoes to fill when looking back at the previous run by Hickman, but I think he may, if it keeps, give it a run for it`s money.

As the family prepared to leave we see them giving their choice replacements some last minute preparation. The Thing also makes a trip to Yancy Street and does something I thought was very cool, see for yourself. The bulk of the issue is jumping from member to member with their respective replacement. There is also a little something brewing between She-Hulk and Thing that I gotta say, if Fraction chooses to advance, I may pee a little. Like another foursome book this month, the last page leaves me craving more and getting excited. This book, surprisingly enough, has a very old-school feel to it. I can't describe it, and maybe once the heart of the story gets going it will change, but it feels great and the focus on the characters over the overarching story is great.

As for the art, Bagley delivers yet again. His art is a great marriage to the characters and the old-school feel the story is providing so far. I hope he sticks with the series because I really love the way he handles things. A couple of times I actually thought it looked similar to John Byrne`s art when he was on the book. Simply beautiful work Mr. Bagley.

I wouldn't rate this just a buy but a BUY. A must have for any fan of the family. Let's hope it keeps!

This series had a very good start and I'm starting to really like the Fantastic Four again (as I wasn't a fan on Jonathan Hickman's run). This series looks like it will be a lot of fun but unfortunately this issue is still setting things up.PlotThis issue sees the Fantastic Four recruit the team that will replace them in case they are gone for more than four minutes.ReviewThis was a very good issue but I would have preferred to see the Fantastic Four in action. I appreciate that this issue shows...
