The Falcon

No Caption Provided

With Sam Wilson, one of my favorite comic book characters, in line to become the new Captain America, I figure it's time that I show everyone why they should respect him. So without further ado, let's see what this underrated wingman is capable of.

Skill

Falcon has been extensively trained by Captain America and Bucky Barnes.

No Caption Provided

Has YEARS of field experience with Steve Rogers.

Fights

Falcon escapes after being captured by a corrupt militia, he then maneuvers around a train and dodges dozens of lasers before taking them all down.

In reverse order

A brainwashed Falcon stomps Hawkeye.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

Falcon's fight with Nuke, now even though Falcon loses this is really impressive considering Nuke is bulletproof and has literally shrugged off attacks by Daredevil and he only beat him with a surprise knife attack. Falcon was actually hurting him with punches. On top of this, Nuke had just gotten done throwing Captain America around.

No Caption Provided

Fights Silencer, dodging a ray gun and literally throwing him with a punch, Silencer runs away in the next panel.

Falcon gets ambushed by a gang and singlehandily destroys them, ragdolling a few of them.

No Caption Provided

Fights a large group of A.I.M goons with Black Widow, even while fighting a group on his own, Falcon watches out for her.

No Caption Provided

Beats 50's Captain America, who is greatly enhanced and a multi-tonner, until being knocked out by the imposter Bucky, who also has super strength.

No Caption Provided

KOs a mystically enhanced being.

No Caption Provided

No Caption Provided

During AvX, fights Mimic and almost wins, he only even loses because Rogue, who had absorbed She-Hulk's power, jumps up and slams him into the ground to steal his power and save Mimic.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

This is Falcon's fight with Electro during his mini, it's kinda cut up, but Falcon and Electro fight around for awhile until they eventually run into the gang he was going after in the first place, then Cap shows up, fights Electro for a bit while Falcon goes to deal with the gang, then Falcon comes out of nowhere and kos Electro.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4
Reverse order.

Falcon singlehandedly saves Bucky from the Thunderbolts, it's notable that he one shots Paladin, beats up on and basically throws Nuke, and then beats Ghost. I'm missing the a single page that is partially featured on the various Falcon reflexes and speed feats from below, and in case anyone is curious this is from Captain America: Reborn #3

No Caption Provided

Falcon survives an inferno of an explosion.

No Caption Provided

@comicstooge: Hopefully, plus, I'm hoping that between that and The Winter Soldier movie, Sam will increase in popularity. He's a great character when written correctly.

@keenko: Wow this is really good! Very impressed. My only gripes are that the order of the scans are sometimes wonky and that the captions describing what happens in the scans fluctuate from being on top and bottom. Nothing too big but it would be easier on the eyes if those two were improved upon. Anyways, nice respect thread man! Will definitely use this for reference whenever Falcon is included in a fight.

@yourneighborhoodcomicgeek: Thanks, man! I appreciate it. I think I fixed the instances of the captions and I'm trying to fix the but every time I try and reupload them directly to the post it says something about the length and won't post them. Again, it means a lot, bud. Thank you.

@keenko Lol. I have some feats from the (sadly underappreciated) Christopher Priest run on Captain America and the Falcon if you'd like to add them to the respect thread.

@veshark: I would love them! I read a bit of Priest's run, but Brubaker and Remender are who I've read the most of.
