Not too sure on this... But this just officially confirms Falcon appearance!

According to IGN it's official. Dude is a pretty good choice imo.

Eh. I'm not for Falcon, but I'm not against him either. Hopefully he's like he was in the Ultimate universe. That Falcon looked pretty cool.

I love Mackie, so I'm sure he'll be great. I hope they make the character more like his Ultimate counterpart, because I'm not too fond of 616 Falcon.

@RoboShark: Yeah I guess - If he thought the Hurt Locker made him a star, just wait until people see him in spandex with wings... I'm hoping he's in Avengers 2, the movie team needs more "powered heroes" like Thor.

@mr.obvious: Of course it's a cool announcement - They're setting up Avengers 2 FAST - And uh, hopefully now that new team members are coming in, they can get rid of Black Widow or Hawkeye - I don't like Hawkeye because he doesn't have a "Superhero" status as he does in the comics, in the movies he's just an agent of Shield...

I think they'll modernize him in a cool way.

I wouldn't call him just an agent. He's got a pretty extraordinary skill set.

Eh, I like it the way it is. His outfit works fine. He doesn't really need a mask for anything.

Don't really know anything about Falcon and I think his bird-telepathy is pretty hilarious, but I love the casting news! Anthony Mackie is a wonderful actor, and I can really see him in a Marvel Studios production.

Looks like Cap's getting his own little mini-Avengers! Captain America, Falcon, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Sharon Carter and Bucky.
