Origin

After Ra's al Ghul used Batman's failsafes against the Justice League, Superman confronted Batman about whether or not he made a failsafe for himself. Batman admits the Justice League was, but Superman rightly pointed out the hypocrisy that his failsafe was what Batman had failsafes for. This revelation cut deep and was used by Batman's split personality, Batman Zur-En-Arhh, to create a robot designed to activate when Batman was credibly accused of murder.
