Prior to this issue the only exposure to Fables I had was reading the first ten issues collected in the first deluxe trade. I fell in love with the gorgeous art and Bill Willingham's superb writing which seems to be an unholy alliance of Brubaker and the Brothers Grimm. The intrigue mixed with the classic fairy tale characters was a refreshing and radical concept. Jumping on the series some 85 issues later, I am not sure what's happened prior to this as I'm still getting caught up gradually, but...0 out of 0 found this review helpful.
