    Ode to de Sade

     This issue would be the link between issue 2 and 1.  Issue #1 would take place after this issue.  The Life of each Extremist would be recorded on audio tape.  Judy lays out her life story as the Extremist in this issue.
     

    Sadism Verses Mundane

    It is weird that Peter Milligan has chosen to narrate the story in such a fashion where he skips between dates.  The story works that way because as quick we are to meet Jack we are equally quick to forget him, especially if you were reading this back in 1993 having to wait monthly for the next installment.
     
    This issue would further define The Extremist as Judy's firsts are given to us to view.  Her first kill, her first time sexually free and her of course how can I forget her first time in the costume.  How she finds who Jack was and who the Extremist is sends her into a madness in which we were introduced to in issue #1.
     
    Peter Milligan lays down the knowledge in this issue.  There is reference to Marquis de Sade many years before Grant Morrison made him a character in The Invisibles. I found it interesting that the word Sadism/Sadist comes from the name de Sade.

    The Mundane becomes unattractive when the power of freedom is dangled in front of you.
     
    This comic is mini-series is shaping up nicely.
