The first issue of the original Evil Ernie series.
Ernest Fairchild a very disturbed young man. Heavily bound and restrained he is a mental patient who is beyond the help of any normal method of psychiatric care. His mind is a turmoil of death and destructive fantasies. In his own head a beautiful woman called Lady Death rises from the grave before him and promises him eternal love if only he would destroy all human life on earth.
While under the supervision of armed guards he manages to break loose from his straight-jacked and chains, killing the guards brutally. Only Dr Price is robust enough to resist Ernie's rage and placing a gun to Ernie's head he has enough sense to stop before Price would be justified in pulling the trigger.
Bound again and in a padded cell Ernie's thoughts are of his parents. His seemingly normal and caring parents were violently abusive to young Ernie. Unsurprisingly Ernie becomes a problem child and is put into an experimental program where he is placed in a machine called the Dream Probe, meant to help him with his issues. Instead he dreams of his monstrous parents chasing him in a graveyard. In a flash of lightening Lady Death appears; a buxom goddess of a woman in scant clothing, pale skin and carrying a large scythe. She shows her love for Ernie by slicing his parents in two, drenching him in their blood. Ernie goes home seemingly a new boy.
This series would be reprinted in 1996 with new cover art and bonus artwork.
