I've never been a fan of him, but I've seen alot of Etrigan fans....
Can someone explain whats so great about him?
Etrigan
Character » Etrigan appears in 969 issues.
A past foe of Merlin, now trapped in a man. / Gets out by a chant whenever he can. / Demon by kind; hero by bind. / Etrigan battles darkness while speaking in rhyme!
I don't quite get Etrigan
"I've never been a fan of him, but I've seen alot of Etrigan fans....The power he wields and the way he uses it is interesting.

I'm guessing he hasn't read Etrigan comics or any involving him and probably will or won't based on the responses.
Eh, Maybe I'll pick up Reign in Hell. I know he has a big part in it
Would anyone reccomend that book?
AND he talks in rhyme. Seriously, what could be better?
To find out more about him, check out the upcoming Demon Knights book...
For me personally, a huge part of my interest in the character comes from the visual element... he looks rather cool to me... mixed with the origin story he has, as well as the fact that he is often a companion respected by Batman, offers him a healthy dose of respect by proxy. I'm a fan of evil bound for redemption, so this makes for a particularly interesting dynamic in the character. The rhyme is also fun. He got some screen time in the animated life, and was a player in the Quiver storyline in Green Arrow, which was well received at the time and brought a lot of fans back into the fold.
The duality of Blood and Etrigan is also a lot of fun, and even if the separation of the pair and Etrigan's reigns of terror have both become highly cliched, they're nevertheless enjoyable.
