Empyreal is the story of the heroes journey. Long before man walked the Earth, evil waged a war with the heavens. The forces of evil were lead by the demon Yao Mo Jin. After being defeated Yao Mo Jin was banished into the fiery pits of the deepest regions of hell for all of eternity. For eons, Yao Mo Jin eagerly plotted his way back out to the Earthly realm and ultimately the highest realms of heaven and Empyreal. In a twist of fate, Yao Mo Jin discovered that the twelve celestial guardians who were chosen to keep him prisoner could also be used as the keys to his release. As our story begins, Jin our hero, is a troubled soul. He is restless with questions about his past. With one step he begins the longest journey of his young life.
